NEWS EVENT NOTIFICATION

WHO:                         Arkansas Highway Commissioners, AHTD Director Dan Flowers and local officials.

 WHAT:                       A sign unveiling to dedicate the Highway 245 Loop in Texarkana as the Hickerson Freeway.

WHEN:                       Monday, July 23 at 1:30 pm.

WHERE:                    The event will take place on the Highway 245 Loop.

                                    From I-30, take Highway 245 heading south and take the first exit onto the 245 Frontage Road . Parking is available in front of the funeral home.

WHY:                          Prissy Hickerson was the first Highway Commissioner appointed by former Governor Mike Huckabee and served for 10 years. Before she left her term as Chairman of the Commission early this year, her fellow commissioners made the decision to honor her work in this manner
