LITTLE ROCK (9-12) 

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Fayetteville to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 265, according to AHTD officials.

     Plans call for widening Highway 265 to four lanes, extending from Highway 45 northward to the Fayetteville city limits.  The Department will conduct the meeting to present minor changes in the design of the widening project.  The design changes were made as a result of a new Access Management Pl an under development in conjunction with the City of F a y e t t e vi l l e and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Pl anning Commission.  The Access Management Pl an determines the median brea k locations proposed in the design.

     The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 25th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Vandergriff Elementary School , located at 2975 E. Township Street , in Fayetteville .
