The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department is planning improvements to Highway 65 from within the City of Clinton north to its intersection with Highway 110 in Van Buren County. The proposed improvements to Highway 65 include widening the highway to four 12-foot travel lanes with an 11-foot painted median and minor intersection realignments. Plans showing location and design features of the anticipated work and information relative to environmental studies are available for public inspection at the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s Maintenance Office, 465 Highway 95 West, Clinton, Arkansas. The office is open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Any interested citizen, in the vicinity of this proposed project, may request that a public hearing be held regarding this project and its economic and environmental effects by submitting a written request to the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, District 8 Engineer, P.O. Box 70, Russellville, AR 72811-0070. Requests must be received on or before Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. In the event requests are received, a notice of the date, time, and place of the public hearing will be published and advertised in the local media.
